Li direct breakup lifetimes
نویسندگان
چکیده
α-d coincidence data were studied for the Li + Co reaction at Elab = 29.6 MeV. By using a kinematic analysis, it was possible to identify which process, leading to the same final state, has the major contribution for each of the selected angular regions. Contributions of the Li sequential and direct breakup to the incomplete fusion/transfer process were discussed by considering the lifetimes obtained by using a semiclassical approach, for both breakup components.

Projectile breakup dynamics for 6 Li + 59 Co : kinematical analysis of α - d coincidences
A study of the kinematics of the α-d coincidences in the Li + Co system at a bombarding energy of Elab = 29.6 MeV is presented. With exclusive measurements performed over different angular intervals it is possible to identify the respective contributions of the sequential projectile breakup and direct projectile breakup components. A careful analysis using a semiclassical approach of these proc...
متن کاملEvidence for transfer followed by breakup in 7 Li + 65 Cu
The observation of a large cross-section for the α+d channel compared to breakup into the α + t channel from an exclusive measurement for the Li+Cu system at 25 MeV is presented. A detailed analysis of the angular distribution using coupled channels Born approximation calculations has provided clear evidence that the observed α + d events arise from a two step process, i.e. direct transfer to t...
متن کاملNuclear breakup of 8 B in a direct fragmentation model ∗
We calculate the cross sections of the elastic and inelastic breakup modes for the inclusive breakup reaction 28Si(8B,7Be) at beam energies between 10 40 MeV/nucleon within a direct fragmentation model formulated in the framework of the post form distorted-wave Born-approximation. In contrast to the case of the stable isotopes, the inelastic breakup mode is found to contribute only up to 30% to...
متن کاملBreakup Coupling Effects on Near-Barrier
New data for near-barrier Li, Be and B + Ni elastic scattering enable a comparison of breakup coupling effects for these loosely-bound projectiles. Coupled Discretised Continuum Channels (CDCC) calculations suggest that the large total reaction cross sections for B + Ni are dominated by breakup at near-barrier energies, unlike Li and Be where breakup makes a small contribution. In spite of this...
